Diversion of obstetrical labour and delivery services from December 22nd to January 2nd - 20/12/2017

There will be a temporary diversion of obstetrical labour and delivery services from Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor to James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre in Gander from December 22nd to January 2nd.

Perinatal clinic referrals from family physicians will continue to be received by the Women's Health Network (WHN).

Expectant moms do not need to call to reschedule their perinatal clinic appointments, and they do not need new referrals from their family physicians. They will be contacted if there are any changes to their perinatal clinic appointment details.

If you feel you may be in labour, and your intended place of delivery is Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, please proceed to James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre. If you feel that delivery may happen quickly, please go to your nearest Emergency Department for assessment.

Central Health thanks the public for their understanding and patience while the health region focuses on providing safe and quality obstetrical care.

Updates will be posted on Twitter (@CentralHealthNL).
