Central Health feels compelled to publicly address the content and accuracy of information shared in comments posted to the Advocates for Senior Citizen's Rights Facebook page.
Central Health is committed to person- and family-centred care. Key to that care philosophy is engaging individuals and families in health care decisions and plans. We welcome comments and feedback, both positive and negative, from any member of the public, and we have established processes and procedures to celebrate compliments, as well as to address concerns. The health authority is dedicated to continuous improvement, and views all feedback as an opportunity to learn and improve.
Central Health is also committed to providing a safe and supportive work environment, as well as quality care environments for the people it serves. We do not accept disrespectful behaviour in our facilities and we do not accept disrespectful behaviour targeted towards our employees online.
The health authority supports health care providers at Lakeside Homes. Their professionalism, dedication, work ethic, and caring approach is reflected year after year in resident and family surveys. Lakeside Homes' results for safety, appropriateness and effectiveness, and health status indicators are reported by Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI).
