Louise Jones, Interim President and CEO  

Louise Jones has had an extensive and progressive career in the health system and has held a number of senior executive positions at the regional and provincial level. Her most recent experience has been as Chief Executive Officer and Registrar for the Newfoundland and Labrador Council of Health Professionals for the past 4 years. Prior to this she worked for the previous 15 years at the senior executive level, including for 2 years as Interim President and CEO of the Eastern Regional Integrated Health Authority. 

She has successfully facilitated and implemented the integration of health services and led many policy and program initiatives. She has continually shown a commitment to safe, quality health care provided in an interdisciplinary professional environment that acknowledges the uniqueness of each health profession.

She holds a Bachelor of Nursing and a Masters of Business Administration from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador as well as a certificate in Health Services Management from the Canadian Hospital Association. She is a Certified Health Executive having received that designation from the Canadian Council of Heath Service Executives as well as a Wharton Nurse Fellow from the Wharton School of Management, University of Pennsylvania.  Louise has been active at both the national and provincial level. She has served as Board Member of the Canadian Alliance of Regulatory Bodies of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists, St. Patrick's Nursing Home (St. John's, NL), the Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Applied Health Research (St. John's, NL) and the Health Care Foundation of St. John's (NL). She has also served on many national and provincial committees, including committees of the Health Council of Canada, Canadian Council of Health Services Research Foundation, Canadian Nurses Foundation, the Academy of Canadian Executive Nurses and has been a regional and international surveyor with the Canadian Council of Health Services Accreditation.

Louise is the recipient of the Award for Distinguished Service from the Canadian Healthcare Association as well as the Award for Excellence in Nursing Administration from the Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador. She has also been the recipient of a number of academic scholarships throughout her career.

John Kattenbusch - VP, Finance and Infrastructure 

John Kattenbusch was appointed Vice President of Finance and Infrastructure for Central Health in May 2005. In this role Mr. Kattenbusch is the Chief Financial Officer for the region and is responsible for Finance, Materials Management and various ancillary corporate services such as insurance and legal issues. Prior to joining the Senior Leadership Team at Central Health, Mr. Kattenbusch served as the Assistant Executive Director of Finance for the former Central East Health Care Institutions Board, a position he held for six years.

Mr. Kattenbusch holds a Bachelor of Commerce - (Honours with a concentration in finance) degree from Memorial University and is a member of the Society of Management Accountants of Newfoundland and Labrador. Mr. Kattenbusch holds the professional designation of Certified Management Accountant and is a Fellow of the Society Management Accountants of Canada (FCMA).

Mr. Kattenbusch has had involvement with a number of organizations and groups and has served as the Treasurer for the Newfoundland Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Secretary Treasurer for the Society of Management Accountants of Newfoundland and is presently a board member for the Public Accountants Licensing Board of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Terry Ings - VP, Human Resources and Support Services

Prior to joining the Senior Leadership Team at Central Health, Terry Ings was a Manager of Human Resources with Central Health since October 2005. In this role he assumed responsibility for a number of human resource functions throughout the Gander area.

Prior to joining the Human Resources Department with Centre Health, Terry was the Director of Human Resources for the Central East Health Care Institution Board for five years and also held the role of Director of Human Resources with Health and Community Services Central for four years.

Terry has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (concentration in Human Resources), and completed the Health Services Management and Departmental Management Programs from the Canadian Hospital Association.

Heather Brown - VP, Long Term Care and Community Health

Heather joined the Senior Leadership Team as Vice President of Long Term Care, Community Support and Rural Health in July 2007. In this role, she is responsible for acute and community based services as well as long term care in eight health service districts within the central region.

Heather has also served as the Director of Health Services - Exploits Area. In this role she assumed responsibility for the provision of team-based leadership in the planning and delivery of a high quality, integrated continuum of community based, acute and long-term care services. Heather has extensive experience in the healthcare system as a Unit Manager, Public Health Nurse Manager, Public Health Nurse and Staff Nurse.

Heather has a Masters of Education, Post-Secondary Studies, completed the Nursing Leadership Development Program and a Bachelor of Nursing from Memorial University. She has experience in adult facilitation and inter-professional team development.

Sean Tulk - VP, Rural and Allied Health

Sean Tulk was appointed to Vice President of Rural and Allied Health in April 2017 after recently serving as Chief Operating Officer, Grand Falls-Windsor, since October 2009. Prior to joining the Senior Leadership Team he held the position of Director, Strategic Human Resource Management at Central Health.

Before joining the health care system in 2000, Sean spent 12 years in various management roles with one of Newfoundland and Labrador's utility companies. He holds a Master's in Health Administration as well as a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-operative).

Dr. Jeff Cole - VP, Medical Affairs and Diagnostic Services

Dr. Jeff Cole joined the Senior Leadership Team in 2014 as the Vice President for Medical Services. Dr. Cole previously held the position of Chief of Staff for the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor. He brings to this senior administration position an understanding and appreciation for the challenges facing Medical Services at Central Health and the organization as a whole.

Joanne Pelley - Executive Director, Acute Care and Chief Nursing Officer

Joanne's career has been focused in nursing and nursing leadership spanning across the care continuum of community health, ambulatory services and acute care. In addition to her nursing knowledge and experience, Joanne brings 14 years of experience in formal leadership roles, including her most recent experience as the Regional Director for Surgical Services.

Joanne holds a Bachelor of Nursing and Masters of Nursing from Memorial University and CNA Certification in Community Health Nursing. She is engaged in quality improvement initiatives at Central Health and is committed to enhancing the collaborative team approach to delivering quality person and family-centred care.

Gaitane Villeneuve - Director, Corporate Communication 

Gaïtane has worked in both private and public sector communications for nearly 20 years. Born in Newfoundland and Labrador, her career has taken her to Nunavut, the Northwest Territories, British Columbia, Alberta, and back home. Gaïtane holds a B.A. (Hons) from St. Thomas University.
