UPDATE: Visitation precautions at Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Centre in Botwood - 25/04/2017

 

Visitation precautions, in response to cases of gastrointestinal illness at Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Centre in Botwood, have been updated from complete to limited.

While staff continue to monitor any new gastrointestinal illness cases, visitors are reminded of the following limited visitation precautions:

Only one visitor (family member) per resident. Children are not permitted at this time.

  • Limit your visitation to your family member only.
  • Wash your hands when entering and existing the nursing unit, and before and after contact with your loved one. Hand sanitizer is provided.
  • Do not visit if you have had symptoms of vomiting or diarrhea within the last 48 hours.

If you have family members at Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Centre, and have questions about these visitation precautions, please call 709.257.2874 and ask to be directed to the appropriate nursing unit.

Central Health recognizes the importance of family and friend visits, and thanks you for your understanding and assistance in preventing the spread of this illness.
