Influenza is a serious respiratory infection of the airways and lungs that can spread easily from person to person. Hand washing is the most effective way to prevent the spread of illness. To practice good hand washing you should do the following: Wet your hands; Add soap; Rub your hands together, ensuring you cover the whole area of your hand; Rinse your hands to remove all of the soap; Dry your hands; and turn off the tap with a paper towel.
