Central Health Opens Additional Vaccination Clinics

Updated: Jun 22, 2021

Central Health would like to advise that there will be additional mass vaccination clinics available in Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor, and Lewisporte in the coming weeks. The first clinic will take place on June 24th in Gander at the Steele Community Centre.

Booking for this clinic will begin today June 21, 2021 starting at 5:00 pm.

To book an appointment for the Gander vaccination clinic on June 24th, click here or call 1-833-961-3749

Additional clinic dates will be added for Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor and Lewisporte later this week.

These clinics are for individuals that had their first dose at least 8 weeks ago and have not yet secured a second dose appt.

To book an appt for this clinic please choose Covid 19 Vaccine Dose 2 Moderna when choosing your clinic type. Individuals who had Moderna, Pfizer, or AZ as a first dose can book into this clinic as long as their first dose was given at least 8 weeks prior.

Individuals will know when the clinics are full when there are no longer any available appointment slots available in the online system. If an appointment is no longer available in the community/clinic of choice, more clinics will be available in the future. However, people should continue to check Central Health’s website as we are continuing to add clinics weekly.

You should not schedule an appointment for a vaccine if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. Instead, complete a COVID-19 Assessment and referral by clicking here.

While waiting for your opportunity for vaccination, and after vaccination, it is important for everyone to continue to follow public health guidance to protect yourself, your loved ones, and your communities including:

  • Wearing a mask in public

  • Washing your hands frequently

  • Respecting public health guidance on gatherings, travel and quarantine · Completing the online self-assessment at https://www.811healthline.ca/ or calling 811 if you are experiencing one or more symptoms of COVID-19 to arrange testing.

Central Health will continue to communicate as additional vaccine information becomes available and more clinics are set up. For more information on COVID-19 vaccines, please visit Health Canada. For up-to-date information on the COVID-19 pandemic, please visit www.gov.nl.ca/covid-19
