Central Health is experiencing a temporary physician shortage at the Fogo Island Health Centre on Fogo Island. Residents requiring emergency services during this time are advised to call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency room where they will be seen. Individuals presenting to Fogo Island Health Centre may be assessed through a virtual emergency room service. There will be a healthcare provider available to support patient care on-site, as determined through the initial virtual ER assessment.

On-site emergency services will be supported through Virtual ER assessment on the following date and time:
Wednesday, April 20 at 8:00 am to Monday, April 25 at 8:00 am
