Non-invasive Cardiology

Cardiology Technology involves the non invasive testing and monitoring of the functioning of the human heart under various conditions, the provision of basic patient care during these procedures and the assessment and programming of implantable cardiac devices. Cardiology Technologists provide test results and initial analysis to a physician for use in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease.

 

The diagnostic testing procedures provided include:

• 12 & 15 Lead EKG

• Treadmill Stress Test

• Exercise Myoview and Persantine Stress Test (James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, Gander only)

• Ambulatory Monitoring

  • 24 or 48 Holter, Recording and Analysis

  • Ambulatory Blood Pressure Recording

  • Event / Loop Recording and Analysis

• Pacemaker & ICD Analysis

Monday to Friday (8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)

Location

 

At Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor, it is located on the first floor in the Cardiopulmonary Services Area

​

At James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, it is located on the first floor, via the elevator or stairs next to the cafe in the North Court.
