Central Health wishes to advise that it will be rescheduling elective surgeries booked at the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre (JPMRHC), in Gander, effective August 3rd, 2021. Clients impacted by this, who have upcoming elective surgery, will be contacted and rebooked at a future date.
Residents of the Central Newfoundland region who would normally receive Urgent and Emergent Surgical Services from JPMRHC, Gander, should expect to be transferred to the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, in Grand Falls-Windsor, as their condition allows.
These changes are due to a temporary reduction in anesthesiology services.
Central Health will update the public when elective surgery services can resume at JPMRHC.
