COVID-19 exposure notifications in the Central Region for Thursday, December 23

As part of a Public Health investigation in the Central Health region, anyone who visited the locations on the dates and times listed below is asked to arrange COVID-19 testing. The businesses have been notified and Public Health thanks them for their cooperation.


Tim Horton's - Airport Blvd, Gander

  • Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm


Gainz Fitness, INC - 31 High Street, GFW

  • Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm

Wing'n it - Grand Falls-Windsor

  • Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 5:15 pm – 6:30 pm


YMCA - Grand Falls-Windsor (13 Prices Avenue, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL)

YMCA Weight Room only (does not include those who would have attended the cardio/gymnasium/squash courts or swimming pool during the below noted dates/times)

  • Monday, December 20, 2021 from 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

  • Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm


TESTING CLINICS

Due to the number of COVID-19 exposure sites in the Central Region, COVID-19 testing will be available to those who are a contact of a case or symptomatic.


The Gander testing clinic will be located at the Fraser Road United Church on the following dates and times:

  • Friday, December 24, 2021 - 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

  • Monday, December 27, 2021 - 10:00 am – 4:00 pm


The Grand Falls-Windsor testing clinic will be located at the Salvation Army Church, 27 Park Street on the following dates:

  • Friday, December 24, 2021 - 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

  • Tuesday, December 28, 2021 - 10:00 am – 4:00 pm


The Twillingate testing clinic will be located at the United Church on the following date and time:

  • Tuesday, December 28, 2021 - 11:00 am – 4:00 pm


These clinics are open to:

  • Anyone who is a contact of a case, or symptomatic and has not yet had an opportunity for testing

  • Anyone identified as a contact of a case and requires a second test at Day 11-13 from last date of contact with the case.

  • Anyone who is part of public advisory

  • Anyone who requires a day 7 test (You must have a negative day 7 test result before leaving isolation)

  • Anyone who requires a day 11-13 test

As with the standard COVID-19 test, test results will not be available to patients at the point of testing. Staff performing tests will advise individuals how to access results online. All individuals with symptoms are advised to isolate.
