Central Health would like to advise that due to new cases of COVID-19 identified in the Central Region, starting Monday, September 20, individuals who have visited White Bay Retirement Living Personal Care Home in Baie Verte will have access to COVID-19 testing. People who have visited the home since Sept 7th, 2021, are asked to present for testing.
Clinics will be held at the Tommy Ricketts Arena in Baie Verte on Monday, September 20 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
There will be no process for appointment booking. Individuals are asked to present to the clinic and remain in their vehicles until advised to move inside. Individuals are asked to remain patient, respectful and to expect some wait time depending on how many people show up at any given time.
As with the standard COVID-19 test, test results will not be available to patients at the point of testing. Staff performing tests will advise individuals how to access results online. All individuals with symptoms are advised to isolate.
This broader testing is part of the public health investigation to determine how community members may have acquired their infection with the COVID-19 virus. Being tested is an opportunity to help protect the health of all residents.
