COVID-19 testing in the Central Region for December 21-24, 2021

Central Health would like to advise that due to cases of COVID-19 identified in the Central Region, COVID-19 testing will be available to those who are close contacts of a confirmed case(s) and symptomatic individuals in the Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor and Twillingate areas at the following dates and times.


Gander – Gander Academy, Fraser Road

  • Tuesday, December 21, 2021 - 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

  • Wednesday, December 22, 2021 - 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

  • Thursday, December 23, 2021 - 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

  • Friday, December 24, 2021 - 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Grand Falls-Windsor – Salvation Army Church, 27 Park Street

  • Tuesday, December 21, 2021 - 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

  • Wednesday, December 22, 2021 - 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

  • Thursday, December 23, 2021 - 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

  • Friday, December 24, 2021 - 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Twillingate United Church

  • Tuesday, December 21, 2021 - 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

  • Thursday, December 23, 2021 - 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

  • Friday, December 24, 2021 - 10:00 am – 1:00 pm


These clinics are open to:

  • Anyone who is a contact of a case, or symptomatic and has not yet had an opportunity for testing

  • Anyone identified as a contact of a case and requires a second test at Day 11-13 from last date of contact with the case.

  • Anyone who is part of public advisory

  • Anyone who requires a day 7 test (You must have a negative day 7 test result before leaving isolation)

  • Anyone who requires a day 11-13 test


There is no need to book an appointment as walk-ins are encouraged. Individuals are asked to present to the clinic and remain in their vehicles until advised to move inside. Individuals are asked to remain patient, respectful and to expect some wait time depending on how many people show up at any given time.


As with the standard COVID-19 test, test results will not be available to patients at the point of testing. Staff performing tests will advise individuals how to access results online. All individuals with symptoms are advised to isolate.
