COVID-19 testing in Twillingate

September 27, 2021

Central Health would like to advise that due to cases of COVID-19 identified in the Central Region, COVID-19 testing clinics will continue to be offered in Twillingate on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

This clinic is open to:

  • Anyone who is a contact of a case, or symptomatic and has not yet had an opportunity for testing

  • Anyone identified as a contact of a case and requires a second test at Day 11-13 from last date of contact with the case.

The testing clinic will be located at the George Hawkins Memorial Arena and will be open from 9:00am to 6:00pm

There is no need to book an appointment as walk-ins are encouraged. Individuals are asked to present to the clinic and remain in their vehicles until advised to move inside. Individuals are asked to remain patient, respectful and to expect some wait time depending on how many people show up at any given time.

As with the standard COVID-19 test, test results will not be available to patients at the point of testing. Staff performing tests will advise individuals how to access results online. All individuals with symptoms are advised to isolate.

This broader testing is part of the public health investigation to determine how community members may have acquired their infection with the COVID-19 virus. Being tested is an opportunity to help protect the health of all residents.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
