Due to cases of COVID-19 identified in the Central Region, COVID-19 testing will continue to be available to all symptomatic individuals in the Baie Verte area on Thursday, September 23 from 9:00am – 6:00pm. Clinics will be held at the Tommy Ricketts Arena in Baie Verte.
There will be no process for appointment booking. Individuals are asked to present to the clinic and remain in their vehicles until advised to move inside. Individuals are asked to remain patient, respectful and to expect some wait time depending on how many people show up at any given time.
As with the standard COVID-19 test, test results will not be available to patients at the point of testing. Staff performing tests will advise individuals how to access results online. All individuals with symptoms are advised to isolate.
This broader testing is part of the public health investigation to determine the level of possible COVID-19 spread in the community. Being tested is an opportunity to help protect the health of all residents. Being tested is an opportunity to help protect the health of all residents.
