Due to cases of COVID-19 identified in the Central Region, COVID-19 testing will continue to be available to all symptomatic individuals in the Baie Verte area on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 12:00 to 6:00pm and on Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 12:00-6:00pm. Clinics will be held at the Tommy Ricketts Arena in Baie Verte. There will be no clinics taking place on Saturday, September 25th,2021.
There is no need to book an appointment as walk-ins are encouraged. Individuals are asked to present to the clinic and remain in their vehicles until advised to move inside. Individuals are asked to remain patient, respectful and to expect some wait time depending on how many people show up at any given time.
As with the standard COVID-19 test, test results will not be available to patients at the point of testing. Staff performing tests will advise individuals how to access results online. All individuals with symptoms are advised to isolate.
This broader testing is part of the public health investigation to determine the level of possible COVID-19 spread in the community. Being tested is an opportunity to help protect the health of all residents. Being tested is an opportunity to help protect the health of all residents.
