Central Health would like to advise that effective 8:00 am on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, there will be a diversion of emergency services at the Bay d’Espoir Community Health Centre (BDECHC).
The service diversion is due to a current unavailability of physician services. All other non-emergency services, such as Nurse Practitioner clinics will continue as normal. Lab and X-ray services will continue by appointment only. The current virtual care options will continue to be offered from the clinic during this time and for an appointment, please call (709) 538-3244.
The BDECHC provides clinics and emergency services to residents of the Bay d’Espoir area which encompasses six communities from Morrisville to St Alban’s. During this diversion, emergent patients will receive care at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Centre in Harbour Breton. Patients that do not arrive by ambulance will also have the option of travelling to the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center (CNRHC) in Grand Falls-Windsor to receive care. If you are travelling via personal vehicle to the emergency department, please call ahead.
In case of emergency, residents can call the emergency department at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Centre in Harbour Breton at (709) 885-2401.
