Emergency Laboratory Service Disruption

Central Health would to like to advise that over the next several weeks, there will be a transfer of services from the old Green Bay Health Centre to the new facility in Springdale.

As part of this process, effective April 26, 2021, there will be a disruption of Emergency Laboratory Services. This disruption of service is to accommodate the transfer and set up of laboratory equipment in the new facility which will open in May 2021. The anticipated duration of this disruption of emergency laboratory services is up to two weeks.

Routine blood collection will continue to take place and there is no anticipated impact on patient care at the current Green Bay Health Centre. Routine procedures and appointments will remain in place.

During this time, if emergency laboratory services are required, Central Health has arranged for samples to be transported to Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor for analysis.

Central Health apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks you for your patience.
