Central Health wishes to advise that effective immediately, there will be limited visitor restrictions of one designated visitor per patient/resident in place at both James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre in Gander and Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor.
Visitor screening is still in place. Visiting hours will be from 9:00am to 9:00pm due to screening availability. Palliative care visitations will be in collaboration with families and the care team.
All patients can be accompanied by one person, for emergency, outpatient and ambulatory care clinics, appointments or procedures. Patients who can safely manage their interaction for out-patient care without assistance/support should attend unaccompanied.
Emergency department services and scheduled outpatient appointments are not affected.
Individuals requiring information about their loved ones should phone the appropriate nursing unit.
