Service updates for Harbour Breton area

Emergency Services still available in Harbour Breton Central Health would like to advise that Emergency health services are still available at the Connaigre Pennsiula Health Center (CPHC) in Harbour Breton. This also includes lab services such as emergent/urgent lab testing, chemotherapy bloodwork for cancer patients, and bloodwork such as INR (International Normalized Ratio) testing. Due to a reduction in staffing, routine lab testing at CPHC is cancelled for the remainder of this week.

Change in services for Mose Ambrose and Hermitage clinics

Bloodwork collections taking place in Mose Ambrose and Hermitage clinics this week have been cancelled. Patients needing INR testing from those communities have been advised that they can travel to Harbour Breton for blood collection.

Visitor Restrictions Please note that full visitor restrictions will remain in place at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Centre due to a number of new cases of COVID-19 identified in the Central Health region over the weekend. These visitor restrictions will be in place until applicable designated visitors and applicable residents/patients/clients have been screened and been tested as appropriate. This is anticipated to be a short-term measure until the investigation is completed in the coming days. If you are symptomatic or have been in contact with someone who has been travelling outside the province, please call 811 for further guidance. Central Health would like to thank the public for their understanding and co-operation at this time.
