Upcoming walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinics for people aged 30+ in Grand Falls-Windsor

December 21, 2021

Central Health, in partnership with the Shalloway Family Practice Network would like to advise of a walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic taking place in Grand Falls-Windsor. This clinic is only open for people 30 years of age and older as we will be administering Moderna.

The National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) recommends those aged 18 to 29 years receive the Pfizer vaccine over Moderna, as a booster.

The walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic will take place at:

Location: Exploits Valley Intermediate in Grand Falls-Windsor

Date: Wednesday, December 22, 2021

Time: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

There will be no need to book an appointment as this clinic will be walk-in ONLY.

Eligibility:

  • MUST be 30 years of age and older

  • eligible for first, second, or booster dose

These clinics are open to individuals seeking their first, second or booster dose and have not booked a vaccination appointment.

Individuals who had Moderna, Pfizer, or AZ as a first dose can avail of walk-in vaccinations as long as their first dose was given at least 28 days prior.

For the purposes of THIS CLINIC ONLY, COVID-19 booster doses are available for all individuals ages 30 years and older when at least 22 weeks has passed since completion of their primary series. As an example, if you received your second dose on July 21, 2021, you can book your booster dose on or after December 22, 2021.

You should not take part in a walk-in clinic or schedule an appointment for a vaccine if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. Instead, complete a COVID-19 Assessment and referral by clicking here.
