UPDATE: Additional COVID-19 vaccine appointments available in Gander today, Thursday, April 29, 2021

Central Health would like to apologize for some issues residents may have experienced Wednesday evening with the online booking system. Some residents may have had issues booking appointments at Thursday’s AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD clinic in Gander. This issue has been resolved and additional appointments are now available.


Vaccination clinics are being held in Gander on Thursday 29 April and Grand Falls-Windsor on Friday, April 30, 2021 for residents 55-64 who have not yet booked an appointment to receive the vaccine.


If you live in or around Gander or Grand Falls-Windsor, and are aged 55-64, you are eligible to attend. You do not need to preregister for these clinics, although you do need to book an appointment. To book an appointment for these clinics:

  1. Please click the following link, or copy and paste the link into the address bar of your internet browser: https://portal.healthmyself.net/nlcentralhealth/forms/1OK (Please ensure you use Google Chrome as your browser when accessing the link)

  2. Complete the eligibility questionnaire and consent.

  3. Please select AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD for Ages 55-64 (Covid dose 1).


Residents aged 55-64 who live outside Gander and Grand Falls-Windsor can book their appointment by contacting their local public health nurse.


The public is reminded that they should not schedule an appointment for a vaccine if they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. Instead, complete a COVID-19 Assessment and referral by clicking here.
