Updated Screening Guidelines at Central Health facilities

March 1, 2022

As Central Health continues to follow guidance from the Chief Medical Officer of Health, we would like to advise of the following changes as they relate to screening at our Acute Care sites, Vaccination Clinics and Long-term Care Facilities:

  • Active screening services at points of entry to health care facilities will be phased out starting this week, with the goal to have all sites transitioned by March 14, 2022. Screening will continue for patients/clients/residents and will be completed at point of care registration.

  • At this time, VaxPass is still required at entry to Central Health Long-Term Care facilities.

The public will be required to wear a well fitted medical mask, if you do not have one of your own, one will be provided. Please do not visit a Central Health facility if you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms or symptoms of COVID-19.

Central Health thanks you for your patience as the provinces continues to lift restrictions.
