Subject:     IT Systems Outage Update

 

Central Health is advising its current and former employees, physicians and locums of a change in status to the recent breach of personal information. While the incident is currently under investigation, we are advising that some personal information has now been confirmed as breached in relation to a cyber-attack that occurred in October 2021. Specifically, information is now confirmed as accessed and taken by an unauthorized and unknown third party. 

 

This breach includes information such as name, address, contact information, and social insurance number of employees of Central Health over approximately the last 13 years. At this time, there is no indication that this information is being misused or disclosed and no evidence that banking information was involved.

 

We are offering all employee and former employees credit monitoring services and recommend you avail of these services as communicated prior. We will update you further as more information becomes available.
