Temporary Closure of Emergency Services and Virtual ER at Connaigre Peninsula Health Centre (CPHC)

Central Health is currently experiencing a temporary human resources shortage at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Centre (CPHC) in Harbour Breton. Emergency services are currently not available at CPHC. Residents requiring emergency services during this time are advised to call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency room at Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor where they will be seen.


This immediate closure will take place today:

  • Wednesday, April 27 from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm.


VIRTUAL ER at CPHC

On-site emergency services will be supported through Virtual ER assessment on the following date and time:

  • Wednesday, April 27 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 am Thursday, April 28

Residents are also reminded of the 811 HealthLine which they can avail of anytime. 811 Healthline is a confidential and free telephone line staffed by experienced Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners weekdays from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm. 811 is available to all residents of Newfoundland and Labrador, of any age. Call 811 at any time, day or night, to speak to a Registered Nurse. They are always there for you.
