Central Health is experiencing a temporary human resources shortage at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Centre (CPHC) in Harbour Breton. Residents requiring emergency services during this time are advised to call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency room where they will be seen. Individuals presenting to CPHC may be assessed through a virtual emergency room service. There will be a healthcare provider available to support patient care on-site, as determined through the initial virtual ER assessment.

VIRTUAL ER at CPHC

On-site emergency services will be supported through Virtual ER assessment on the following date and time:

  • Sunday, April 24 from 8:00 pm to Tuesday, April 26 at 8:00 am

Residents are also reminded of the 811 HealthLine which they can avail of anytime. 811 Healthline is a confidential and free telephone line staffed by experienced Registered Nurses. It is available to all residents of Newfoundland and Labrador, of any age. Call 811 at any time, day or night, to speak to a Registered Nurse. They are always there for you.

We apologize for this interruption of service and thank the public for their understanding and patience as we continue to focus on providing safe and quality care for the residents of the Central Newfoundland.
