Due to a temporary physician shortage at the A.M. Guy Memorial Health Centre, in Buchans, Emergency Services will be offered through Virtual ER services from 1:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Subsequently, all Emergency Services will be diverted to the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre (CNRHC) in Grand Falls-Windsor until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
If residents require emergency services during this time, they are advised to call 911 or proceed to the emergency room at CNRHC in Grand Falls-Windsor, where they will be seen.
We apologize for this interruption of service and thank the public for their understanding and patience as we continue to focus on providing safe and quality care for the residents of the Buchans and the surrounding area. Central Health continues its efforts in recruitment for this area for both physicians and allied healthcare workers.
