Due to cases of COVID-19 identified in the Central Region, COVID-19 testing will be available for K-12 students in the Baie Verte area on Tuesday, September 21 from 9:00am – 7:00pm. Testing will also be open for all school staff in the Baie Verte area.
Clinics will be held at the Tommy Ricketts Arena in Baie Verte.
There will be no process for appointment booking. Individuals are asked to present to the clinic and remain in their vehicles until advised to move inside. Individuals are asked to remain patient, respectful and to expect some wait time depending on how many people show up at any given time.
As with the standard COVID-19 test, test results will not be available to patients at the point of testing. Staff performing tests will advise individuals how to access results online. All individuals with symptoms are advised to isolate.
This broader testing is part of the public health investigation to determine how community members may have acquired their infection with the COVID-19 virus. Being tested is an opportunity to help protect the health of all residents.
