Expectant Mothers allowed one support person at prenatal ultrasound appointments

As per provincial direction, starting Monday July 13, 2020 one support person will be allowed to accompany expecting mothers at prenatal ultrasound appointments.

In order to maintain physical distancing in our facilities, the support person is asked to remain outside the facility until the patient is registered and is called in for the procedure. The patient will be asked to notify their support person when they are ready to go in.

The support person will be screened upon entry to the building and must screen negative. They are then required to sanitize their hands and wear a mask at all times.

Central Health thanks you for your patience as we work through the process to allow more visitors and support into our facilities.
